Glen Killane

Bio:
Glen Killane is Executive Director of Sport at the European Broadcasting Union (EBU), the world’s leading alliance of public service media.
He joined the EBU in 2018, becoming Executive Director in 2020, and is a member of the EBU’s Senior Leadership Committee.
A former journalist with RTÉ and ITV, Glen has held senior leadership roles across broadcasting and telecoms, including Managing Director of RTÉ Television and Eir Sport.
At the EBU, he has led major international sports rights acquisitions, including the Olympic Games (2026–2032 cycle), and oversaw the launch of Eurovision Sport, the EBU’s premier free streaming platform.
He has also driven innovation in areas such as AI-powered commentary, while placing a strong strategic focus on the growth and visibility of women’s sport across EBU Members.
