Gus Grimaldi serves as the Head of Samsung TV Plus EMEA, overseeing one of the world's largest streaming services, accessible in 30 territories and boasting over 100 million monthly active users globally. With over 20 years of international experience in product management, strategic marketing, and technical development, Gus has established a remarkable career focused on driving digital innovation and fostering business growth within the streaming media and lifestyle services.
Since joining Samsung in 2020 as the Head of Samsung TV Plus EMEA, Gus has played a pivotal role in expanding the platform's reach to 19 territories across Europe and MENA, increasing its content offering to millions of streaming hours and more than 2,000 streaming TV channels. Under his leadership, Samsung TV Plus has experienced exponential growth, extending its presence to mobile devices and tablets, solidifying its position as a leading streaming media platform in the region.
Gus also spearheaded the launch in Europe of Samsung Art Store and Samsung Gaming Hub in 2022. These achievements underscore his dedication to product innovation and his efforts to broaden Samsung's influence in the digital entertainment landscape. Prior to joining Samsung, Gus held the position of VP and Head of Product at Vubiquity, where he was instrumental in expanding studio licensing and distribution to international markets, including EMEA, Latam, and APAC. Before that, he served as Head of Product Strategy & Development at DIRECTV, leading product development for digital platforms and fostering strategic content partnerships.
